I just grabbed some photos around the area bout an hour ago. Hard to judge fully cuz they are putting it in the darkest spot possible during a cloudy day lol.
Looks like they are putting it up fairly fast so hopefully we should see some wrap around the other side which isn’t in a shadow all day round like the back is. I’d like to see the direct sunlight on those panels
Is there any map on this forum or skyscraperpage with all tha nyc projects- the important ones- just like the real deal one but for free or the Downtown LA in skyscraperpage please?
wow seems like installation is going to go pretty quickly.
Looks like it’s coming along great. It’ll be done soon, I hope the rest of the complex gets completed before 2026.
Is it possible to assume they could finish with the marble installation by late December early January? They are moving quicker than I expected.
At this rate? Almost certainly
I won’t be surprised if they have this completely covered before the height of the winter months, they’re probably aiming to do just that.
Daylight but I’m getting a shopping mall vibe.
This thing is going up fast! And might I say it looks gorgeous!
Did they change the veining configuration?
Agreed. Picture a big “Lord & Taylor” slapped on the facade and it wouldn’t look out of place attached to Roosevelt Field Mall.
I don’t think it has changed. If you split each side of the facade into vertical thirds, the first and last third veining slopes down towards the center. The center third has veining in multiple directions that create these sort of diamond patterns.
Still not sure if it’s coming out demonic looking or not but the material is nice.
Interesting. It reminds me of snakeskin.
