I don’t think this is happening. Unbuilt

And how exactly did you come to that conclusion?

The War in ukraine

Uhhh, please elaborate on that. How does the war on Ukraine have anything to do with this PABT redevelopment?

Construction will start in late 23’ or early 24’. There in the design and impact phase. Also, what does this have to do with the war in Ukraine? Maybe if WWIII starts and still it probably will get constructed.

I agree with what you said here. Back then, the War in Afghanistan happened and yet numerous buildings and skyscrapers were still constructed during that time globally.

Speaking of the design phase, do you know when we’ll have the officially chosen design?
Hopefully Archilliers design is chosen, it was by far the best looking. Also the rooftop park with a connection to an existing park looked amazing.
Maybe if that design gets chosen and built the highline could eventually connect with it.

That’s good to hear, I saw a homeless guy pooping on the floor butt naked with his legs spread like a bird in the port authority bathroom a few months ago. Never stepped in there ever since

Unfortunately, stuff like that happens all across America.

Homelessness and crime have surged the past two years.

If this design gets chosen and built, I see a connection to the highline through an offshoot of the extension from HY to the Pier

I think they commissioned a very similar design from the planning images we’ve seen.

My god this whole area. Surface parking lots, extremely low rise pathetic buildings. The entire area is in need of the development this will bring.

It would be very disappointing if anything less than the render I showed was built. Even if the towers are part of it, just that kind of quality is needed.

Imagine Hells Kitchen being redeveloped and connected to PABT, Hudson Yards, Manhattan West, and Penn Station Redevelopment

PABT to this I have my own concept:

The first thing I would have planned for 495 11th Ave. is two Superalls with affordable housing. So that Site K can be built as planned.

And that in the final phase the construction of the Sky High Towers ( 2300 ft) can begin.

and more…

There’s talk of building over the Amtrak Metro North Hudson Valley Rail line -

They could build a walkway that connects to Hudson Yards & PA.

Perkmins Eastmen proposal rendering from the PABT, from the competition site. The biggest one there has got to be 1,600 ft +

For the actual transit building, it’s Archilliers by far and none of the other proposals are even close.

For the skyscrapers it’s between Perkins-Eastman and Arcadis

Per NYguy:

The towers of this development rank along some of the larger upcoming towers in Manhattan in size.

From the recently completed FEIS of the Penn Station redevelopment…

Wow, three of them have the potential to be larger than 175 Park! This is really interesting!

Well potential.
They could but who knows how these devs will utilize the sqft
