I would, but they aren’t washing windows. Just the base!
Are they really just doing the base? How do you know?
because the crane arms which hold up the platform are jutting out between the tower and the base. The washing platform would not be able to go higher. Tower washers would would extend over the parapet.
The base has its own washing rig that comes out from the top of the base, and that’s it. It’s separate from the main window-washing rig at the top (the broken one) for the occupied floors.
Antenna wrap going up on the second segment of the spire today. Kinda wish the whole thing would be wrapped in this at the very least…
That’s probably what they’re going to do in the future, clad all of the the smaller pieces

I wish the whole spire gets covered like the top… one day.
They should just do it all at once. It’s the least they can do.
Interesting…if I’m not mistaken it seems they are beginning to assemble the canopy on the East entrance…all the while the temporary loading dock remains. Very interesting…
One WTC lit up for Pride. I thought the way they lit the upper floors of the observatory was cool. I wish they could regularly incorporate it into the building’s nighttime lighting scheme for special events.

FWIW, I think that’s the event space, and it was lit up that way for a Pride party.
Ah that makes sense.
Marketing Firm signed a lease for the 62nd and 63rd floors:
Stagwell, which was founded by former pollster and Microsoft executive Mark Penn in 2015, will initially move four of its subsidiaries into the space: SKDKnickerbocker, PMX Agency, Code and Theory, and Harris Insights
Stagwell’s lease brings occupancy in the 1,776-foot-tall spire, the centerpiece commercial building at the World Trade Center site, up to 75%, according to the Durst Organization and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey
i’m sure they’ll enjoy their stunning views which totally aren’t translucent because of window negligence.
Don’t even get me started on the windows bulls**t. It’s too enraging to think of how neglected the new towers are.
