You know the total height of ESB is 1,454 right? It was only built up to 1,250 feet when first built, then in 1951 they extended the tower with the spire

this is why i was disappointed with the height cut. 1514’ would have had it clearly usurp the ESB. At 1401’ it will still appear shorter. Heck, it will be shorter by one definition.

I’m going off of the lists on both Wikipedia and Emporis. They don’t include the communications antenna as part of the height in the rankings, which I think is fair. As far as I’m concerned, this is taller

I find it absurd that they don’t include the height of a spire, like the Willis Tower. Sure, its purpose is for equipment, but it’s still a piece of the building. I always include heights of spires
