Yes, I can not question the truth of that article. I am glad to now know why all work on the facade has stopped. Thanks for posting news we can use… ![]()

Gives you a good idea of how many views are blocked for the smaller twin.
I’d like to see the Chelsea Piers reclad. It looks like mierda from the outside.
Walked by these structures yesterday. They appear to be completely stalled. I tried to imagine them as finished and didn’t like what my mind pictured. I found them awkward, disjointed, and downright ugly. They are much less satisfactory than many other new buildings along the Hi-Line.
It’s such a shame, It’s a great location in spite of being across the street from housing projects.
HFZ is in some deep fecal matter. I don’t expect these to get finished until they sell (unlikely, given the initial investment) or somebody rescues them.
Jeez. I actually never realized how on hold this thing is
I have always assumed that they were running into design/construction issues with the curvy curtain wall; the process of attaching those stone panels looked very spotty - with continual starts and stops.
I was disabused of that particular idea once I had read some article posted here regarding the many HFZ financial problems. I did not put much conviction in that idea, there were so many other factors - but good to know the architects at BIG are not in the least at fault.
very deep fecal matter
I’m just happy that they lost 29th and 5th.
ugh! finish this already someone!
Tower of Babel redux. Those twisting, top-heavy forms were meant to be transgressive, and they suffered the price for it.
Pretty sure this is all on HFZ, not BIG.
