Even though that article was published this week, there seems to be a lot of outdated information being used.
I don’t think it was published last week. Just updated
Ah, well then the updated information is outdated which seems kind of odd to say.
Thank you @Alemel for the very nice photo of the facade model.
What material are the plates made of?
I could very well imagine the opitic as the cladding of the top of the Sky High Tower or as roof panels from my MSG 5 conzept.
They could be chemically treated metal, ceramic, or terracotta tiles/panels. Or even glass.
the optics as roof panels of an MSG?
yes
To be honest, I don’t have any idea of what type of material it is…It looks very unique
It’s actually not that unique, iridescent applications are almost always ceramic in nature, like with this project by MVRDV. Some metals can also be chemically stained/patina’ed that result in an iridescent like appearance.
Yes, I can imagine the roof or the upper third of my MSG 5 like that.
Since I unfortunately can’t create a color 3D model, would anyone have a tip for me on how to build the MSG as a paper model with the roof shape.
My Site for the MSG 5 and behind the River Site Plaza.
I hope on a Megatall by Hudson Phase Two
And not a Madison Square Garden on Phase Two.
You can keep on hoping for that, but that’s never going to happen.
Building aren’t/can’t be built across adjacent blocks in NY, it’s against zoning laws unless the blocks are joined.
It would be possible that the MSG moves, finally but only where?
Renovation of the current MSG according to my imagination
Near the current one? or as a new building in the ESC?
Madison Square Garden 5
And finally, my dream location (PABT) for the next Twin Towers in New York with a height of 2200 feet.
Where can I order the model of 270 Park Ave? Could fit well to my collection.
Those look to just be 3d printed promotional models for that career fair. I’m sure the metal model maker will come out with one eventually.
Once I get a new laptop I can totally whip something up. I actually never finished my 270 Park model with the current design, I only finished the asymmetrical design
