NEW YORK | Lumen LIC (43-30 24th Street) | 754 FT | 70 FLOORS

LIC (Court Sq area) in general is just… very pedestrian unfriendly. The waterfront area however is very nice and pedestrian friendly.

Yes. This area will never really take off until they address the walkability issue.

Nice update, you can see the actual tower portion rising past the podium now.

I’ve also amended the height in the title to 754’ per the latest zoning documents.

Just passed by on the 7… I counted about 5 floors above the podium.

You can see this building if you look closely at this picture taken by Michael Young yesterday from 111w57:

You can also spot 23-02 42nd Road to the left of it

If anyone is still having trouble seeing it, behind 252 East 57th

This tower is going ESB speed!

For real. It was only 10 days ago when this building was 8 floors up off its podium. Now it’s double that.

Based on the last picture, this and 27-48 Jackson Avenue are in the perfect spots to cover the gaps in the skyline from midtown Manhattan

I did notice the next day from the 7 train that the brick-facade is being installed in on the 23rd street side:

disappointed by the cladding on the tower portion for this one… LIC has enough glass curtainwall slabs.

A very nice picture of Getty was posted on SSP showing the two projects.

SSP: SkyscraperPage Forum - View Single Post - NEW YORK | 43-30 24th Street | 725 FT | 66 FLOORS

In this project, I can see that the first bricks are being attached to the facade on the south side. In the small project, installation began with the facade and half of the floors were built (17 floors).
