The NIMBYs need to grow up. The IBX is a net positive and will help alleviate the transit desert that Queens is afflicted with.

Hate articles like these. At the open houses earlier this year the support was overwhelming for this new line and likely way outnumbers the few loud voices against this project.

Yeah, these are the same ones who don’t want “undesirables” (e.g minorities, disabled people, etc,) entering their neighborhoods because minorities often use transit and are “poorer”. I remember some throwing an uproar over the idea they might peddle their wares something by station stops.
And others are like “i dont want towers” as if the IBX opening will magically cause large high rises to sprout up immediately or upzoning to occur.
