I forgot this one on Baltic st. - nothing special, but at least covers the ugly storage building behind it.
Eesh. All glass???
Eesh indeed!
It’s hard to keep track of all the developments going on in this area, so I’ve tried to summarize them here:
Let me know if any of this information is inaccurate or out of date.
Awesome, thanks for putting that together. Not sure the exact statuses of these developments, but looks like missing these:
175 3rd Street- 20 floors/ 375 units (directly north of Whole Foods)
380 4th Ave 17 floors/ 197 units (a bit outside your screengrab)
164 4th Ave- 17 floors/ 160 units
450 Union- 8 floors/ 24 units (this ones smaller can leave off)
175 might be stalled ?, but the other three all seem to be in excavation U/C.
this is awesome
@JiggsNY Thanks! I updated the original posts with those three bigger sites.

It seems like the pace of the canal’s transformation is about to accelerate further:
Are all these unknown developments to us?
I think all of these have been reported on by YIMBY at one point, sometimes under alternative addresses. What I’m confused about is the unit count on some of these projects- all the reporting I’ve seen on 175-225 Third Street lists 375 units. Unless there have been some drastic recent redesigns, many of these figures look inflated.
This by BIG will be fantastic, if it actually gets built. The article posted above ends with the sentence: “the Architect declined comment”. I hope someone from BIG steps up to give us some insight into the future of this project.
