That modern residential building wrapped around the old brownstone makes for an architectural oddity that will leave the passer-by on the street wondering if that is (or is not) two separate buildings. That ‘hold out’ brownstone building should have been a deal breaker for the developer IMHO: there are plenty of other sites in west harlem that have better parcels with condemned or delapated buildings. The building design is attractive enough - just odd.
