ODA Architecture’s glassy staircase o’ condos is on its way to becoming a reality… sort of. BuzzBuzzHome stopped by the construction site at 100 Norfolk Street near Delancey, and excavation work has commenced. There’s also a rendering posted on the blue fencing, which is promising. Plus, the blog also spotted a live teaser site for the 38-apartment building, developed by Urban-Scape. It has a zoomed-in shot of the cantilevering nighttime rendering and a tagline that is, um, numerically savvy: “38 units, 100 reasons.”
The project site at 100 Norfolk Street now boasts branded plywood wrapping for the eventual mess of construction to debut here shortly. Helmed by Adam America Real Estate and the Horizon Group, the 12-story development now carries the cringeworthy tagline of “38 units 100 reasons” to be here. A new website also just went live, but without much in the way of sales information.
Upon completion, the cantilevered monstrosity at 100 Norfolk will carry 44,000 square-feet, split between studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units. There will also be amenities including private and public terraces, bike room, fitness center, and auxiliary storage facilities. It’s essentially the prelude to Essex Crossing across the Delancey, but probably won’t bow in winter 2015 as previously announced.
