Can you please post the link for the other project so I can put them merge.
What other project?
Okay, that was my mistake. I just thought it belonged to another project.

Sorry for the confusion. That’s not what I was trying to say.
But it is possible. This is a weird one because sometimes the address used is for the whole LIU campus / main building. And 75 Dekalb seems to be a different campus building that’s staying. I think they’re going to create a new address for this new building. (Did they do the same with 196 Willoughby?)
Several articles on this project have used a photo of the old main LIU building, implying that will be coming down. I think it’s due to this address confusion. But the old main building doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. It looks like it’s this building in the middle of the block, next to the parking lot, that’s being replaced.
I don’t know why they aren’t developing the parking lot instead…
Do you mean the little building next to the parking lot?
If they can bring in parking then it would be more interesting and bigger.
Yes. On that map, it’s the “Wet Lab” building. It wasn’t that little, IMHO, but it’s basically gone now:
Yes, it would be great if they combined that with the parking lot and built something big.
FWIW, the permits on site (for the demolition) are for “85 Dekalb Ave”, so that could potentially be the correct address for this project going forward.
(Edit: Replaced wrong photo with correct one.)
Change from proposed to UC?
Interesting. We don’t see setbacks like this in Brooklyn as a rule.
Does anybody know if Brooklyn is on schist, like Manhattan?
