The NYtimes just did an article on 432 Park. There’s a lot of engineering problems (elevator breakdown, floods, noises) within the building and complaints its residents.

We all ultimately pay for everything, karma-wise. These kinds of mishaps in my opinion are very damaging to the whole thing’s reputation. So yes, it might be very well deserved. I just find it surprisingly suspicious… Like something tied to recent (political) events.

Tower Fifth would do permanent damage to this town’s reputation. They’ll say, “remember when those idiots tore down Penn Station and their children built Tower Fifth?”
Good lord, I would sooner a 1500’ high statue of Lon Chaney get built in front of St Patricks than this god awful monstrosity.

The article states that “homeowners in the tower had their free breakfasts taken off the menu of the building’s Michelin-star restaurant” - what a ‘betrayal’.
I guess it was ‘Eggs Benedict’ on the menu.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the entire population of this building is in the single digits. I don’t think anyone (except that Russian mobster’s wife quoted in the New York Times article) bought it as a place to actually reside in.

I usually see at least a few cars lingering around there when I walk past. My guess would be only 1/4-1/5 of the units are occupied at any given time, but that’s still a nonzero amount of people

When I first saw this in person, I knew this would be a sign of great things to come! This tower may not be overly unique, but it helped spark the trend for skyward towards across Billionaire’s Row! Now we have a row of some massively tall buildings that will surely grow in the coming years!
