This is about as ARTLESS as it can get; and makes me wonder - what were they thinking. :thinking:

Why would someone ‘deliberately’ build a boring glass box?

I sometimes find answers these vexing questions by reading this blog: Construction Physics.

I found one possible explanation listed at #20 of the “5O Things I have learned writing Construction Physics”.

  1. #20. The modernist, glass box aesthetic took hold in skyscraper construction because it was cheaper to build, and tenants by and large didn’t care what the exterior of the building looked like.
