NEW YORK | 388 Hudson Street | 355 FT | 35 FLOORS

„ A site near James J. Walker Park in Hudson Square is up for redevelopment with affordable housing.

Last month, the New York Department of Housing Preservation and Development announced that it is seeking community input for the redevelopment of a property at 388 Hudson Street.

“388 Hudson offers New York City a rare opportunity to build affordable housing in the heart of downtown Manhattan,” said HPD Commissioner Adolfo Carrión Jr. in a press release .“Every neighborhood must be part of the solution to our housing crisis, and we look forward to working with the community to deliver the best possible outcome for this neighborhood and the city as a whole.”

The approximately 13,622-square-foot property, while ostensibly vacant, hosts infrastructure for the city’s water infrastructure below grade.
