NEW YORK | 350 Park Avenue | 1,414 FT | 64 FLOORS

Another Wall Street giant moves south.

First Ken Griffin and Citadel. Now Marc Rowen and Apollo Global Management. Both choosing other cities for major expansion rather than NYC. Mamdani is Nero, playing the fiddle while NYC’s future burns.

This and 175 Park Ave. will become landmarks.

We need more supertalls.

Why would companies leave? Sure the taxes and all that are better in Miami but NYC has talent. It’s a premier global hub with financial giants, culture, diplomacy, and commerce.

Detroit, was once the Motor City…

Never take anything for granted!

I agree with that but Detroit didn’t have a diversified economy so when the factories left, so did all the people and investment, can’t say the same for NYC. It’s economy has actually gotten more diverse since 2000 with sectors like technology and life sciences instead of just finance

I don’t think NYC can decline the way Detroit did, but certain lines of work may disappear (like finance, which sorta used to define the city), who knows what the future holds.

As for the present, Griffin can’t and doesn’t want to back out of this tower, no need to panic :saxophone::head_shaking_vertically:

Lol anytime someone says Griffin I think of Carrie Fisher in Family Guy. I guess that relates to this situation

“We’ve started demolition and we’re ready to roll,” Weiss added. “There’s a lot of rhetoric, a lot of stuff in the media that’s not accurate, quite frankly.”

From this perspective, it looks like the blue tarp has engulfed almost the entirety of the structure. Now we have to wait until actual demolition comes.
