Some more from today
Is this the building that will correct the Grand Central Madison ventilation issue that will allow restaurants to properly function in the concourse?
It is indeed @Loxx26 ![]()
Ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the new ESA entrance this morning, I didnt end up taking photos, but got this heading home. Overall, a nice, light, and airy entrance.
thanks for the update!
Ooh, I wonder if this means they can remove the doors they added last minute for ventilation control
Is that what they were added for?
I dont think I ever knew the reason, but the services that are now being redirected (that Loxx was refering to are for kitchen related exhaust, which there isnt any restaurants down there yet (are there?).
I don’t think so.
A shame to be so short. Every new building in NY should be at minimum supertall (984 ft) height.
“The global investment and insurance firm has added two floors to its lease, bringing its total footprint to about 325,000 square feet”
I’m noticing a nice trend of anchor tenant lease expansions
Article also mentions two other tenants potentially taking ~200K sf and that BXP is satisfied with the interest so far they aren’t budging on $350/sf at the top.
My guess is Starr took floors 28-29 in most recent as they are only 25K sf floors. I think those in the base are bigger.
when will the first crane be installed?
Still lots of work to do below grade before the cranes arrive/can be installed.
Jumping cranes aren’t typically installed until after a superstructure has reached ground level to allow room for the jumping system underneath it. With the pace things are moving here as shown in SideStreet’s update, they could potentially arrive as early as next month.
Not all jumping cranes are installed the same logisitically though.
thank you for all the precisions!
56% pre-leased before its at street level.
