NEW YORK | 316 Fifth Ave | 535 FT | 40 FLOORS

I don’t agree with that overall. There are vast areas that are untouched. Midtown between 42nd and 57th, however, is a lost cause. Fortunately, a lot of this part of Fifth is landmarked too.

I’m just being grumpy. I can’t believe buildings like this are allowed to be razed in this city, and that garbage is allowed to rise in its place.

Since this likely won’t proceed anytime soon, it would be nice if the “developer,” acquires the garbage that surrounds the beautiful buildings that were razed.

Does anyone know what’s going on here?

All of that praying seems to have helped with Tower 5th which has its roots if we read between the lines. Tower 5th… the 5th commandment… Honour thy father and thy mother… which Macklowe has not by creating a sacrilege upon thy city of NY. Which brings me to the 6th commandment, Thou shalt not kill thy skyline.

This Taliban-esque “project” is INFURIATING. They razed gorgeous buildings and yet, left the others, which are vile excrement worthy of Gahenna.

I wonder when this will rise.

The site has been pending a zoning approval since last year when the plan exams were disapproved.

I’ve been hoping that the developer has been trying to acquire the filthy disgusting dreck next door.

True, but at least the PoS on 32nd St is hidden from the public. That vile trash on Fifth is deplorable.

I wonder what could possibly be going on here. These jerks razed two beautiful buildings, and we’ve had an empty lot for years.

That this vile garbage still stands adds insult to injury.
