NEW YORK | 3 World Trade Center | 1,079 FT | 68 FLOORS

Tower 3 is beautiful, but I agree with the unfortunate height loss, mainly because of its spires being removed.
And talking with tenants to agree and anchor Tower 2 is being a lot harder than imagined! The two designs are still in debate, but BIG’s design is the one being leaned by Larry Silverstein so far. Still, this depends on the tenants and which of them they think fits best.

I just need clarification.

Is the topping off of the core at 1079’?

Maybe the extra height comes from the mechanical. Possibly the core is at 1000’ or so and the rest is part of the roof/mechanical and or parapet.

I thought they announced over a month ago it reached supertall status, have to think it is more than 1000 feet tall by now.

Supertall status could also mean 300m or 984 ft . But the core looks like 1,040’. Rough estimate, but there is not much separating it, and the roof parapet. Equivalent to a 2 floor difference.

This would a great time to go to 1WTC deck to kinda eye it out. Its like such a nit pick figure at this point. 40-50+ or so extra feet.

ya I know, I was just thinking it had risen more than 16 feet since they said it hit supertall so it is definitly over 1000. I would guess 1030-40

VG’s pic from 2 days ago shows it best. So 4 WTC is essentially 2 floors or so shy of 1000 feet. so mentally add 2 floors to 4 WTC, that still puts well below the top of 3 WTC. So based on when the picture was taken 3 WTC is at least 1030 at minimum because I can mental stack 5 more floors on 4 WTC and it still be a tad shorter.

I think we all share the frustration here with poor info on Silverstein’s part. Not just with this, but with 125 Greenwich and CPT (the whole secrecy thing). I wish from the beginning we would get 100% precise info. Because I remember a time when the WTC site had the original height weeks after they announced that the spires where chopped. And you had two links on the same WTC site showing two different heights. In the end though, the WTC site master plan was a horribly mismanaged project. I just want 2 WTC to rise, and for that hollowed ground to not have any more construction on it. For it to feel normal again ya know.

It is legitimately insane how poor the information is in general if we aren’t investigating specific sites. Transparency in NYC real estate is virtually nil, and what’s out there is often wrong as well. Honestly, 217 W 57th still doesn’t have an on-site rendering posted!

A new day. A new tower. A new symbol for America. A middle finger to those who took so much from us.
