Madruga’s Maddd Equities and Stagg’s Stagg Group are planning an 800,000-square-foot development with over 500 dormitories and 485 units of affordable housing, Stagg said. The group is in talks to bring a national grocery store chain to the project as well.
This should be built over the train tracks to connect to the university campus on the other side. Morrisania projects is a good precedent.

The proposed 130-foot-tall development will yield 215,129 square feet designated for community facility space. The building will have 162 units with a total 672 dwellings on the lot. The concrete-based structure will also have a 20-foot-long rear yard.

2740 Webster Avenue is currently a surface parking lot across the Metro-North train tracks from Fordham’s main Rose Hill campus. The future residence hall is expected to house up to 600 students, and will feature a vast array of amenities.
The new student housing development is expected to be completed by July of 2028 and open for the 2029 academic year.
