NEW YORK | 270 Park Ave | 1,389 FT | 70 FLOORS

Great list, thank you! Would be cool to also include what replaced them. I know what replaced 5 of them, but not the rest.

Trinity court is that new bronze clad building, forget the name, it’s also a relatively forgettable building. Savoy Plaza is the GM building with the Apple cube in the plaza. City Investment and Singer is One Liberty Plaza (the most tragic ones in the list) and 270 park is of course, the future 270 park

Here’s the list in order (excluding the top 3 since they’re the most well known):

  • the Manhattan Life Building was demolished in 1963 for an addition to 1 Wall Street (the BNY Mellon Building),
  • 60 Wall Street was demolished in 1976 to avoid paying property taxes and was replaced by the modern building with the same name
  • Trinity Court came down in 2015 for the new bronze clad building
  • The Knickerbocker Trust Building came down with the Manhattan Life Building
  • Hanover National Bank was demolished in 1931 for an annex to the Bankers Trust Building on Wall Street
  • The Savoy Plaza Hotel came down in 1965 for the General Motors Building
  • The National City Building was demolished in 1982 for the new 60 Wall Street

Hope that helped.

Some of the diagrams in the filings for 415 Madison next door gave a very specific height for 270 Park - 1,426’ 2”.

This massing nearly lines up with the ATCHAIN rendering

My only question does this one have, the arches at the base. If not then it’s not the design, I did also say the new building could be around 1,425, I was right👌

I’d love to see some foundation and structural plans. I’m interested in the engineering aspects of this building.

Sooo… any idea when we’ll see proper, official renderings? I thought we were just waiting on demolition to be complete, which apparently has now happened.

Which is why my build for it in Minecraft is temporarily stalled.

I’m anxiously awaiting renderings as well. What are they waiting for!
