If Cap’n America has America’s Ass… then this project is America’s Wang

MS was supposed to move to MW2. I hope that they anchor a new tower elsewhere — maybe 350 Park.

It was reported MS is driving a hard bargain. They wanted their future landlord to buy their current properties.

I remember that, but MS is definitely moving.

How these proposals look in Google Earth (the Hyatt one is just a design I made up):

I’m still in shock that the Lord delivered for us. After Fistering NY with that hideous fat box at the HY, I was very doubtful about this project, and yet he penned a masterpiece.

I’d like to see this PoS, 410 Park, come down next. It’s small and, therefore, would be easy to demolish. A nice 900’+ Stern with boutique offices, a 7 star hotel, and condos would be nice on this site.

I second that.

245, 299, 300, 345, I can’t even name all the abortions on this street. Disgraces to architecture.

if you get rid of everything that is short, then nothing is tall.

a lesser, smaller building accentuates this tower so much more than its height on its own.

I can’t think of any worst architectural style than this and this part of town is full of it…

I agree. That building has such a tiny footprint though, so I wonder if a developer would even bother with it.

Then again, it has around 230k sf, so once again, it would permit a very nice super luxury tower, which there is demand for if it’s in a good location.

It’s like they put up buildings for the sake of just saying they put it there. Such a lack of effort.

I think this was the first generation of modern skyscrapers (late 1950/60’s). I don’t think it was a lack of effort, it was more about bad taste.

You have to keep in mind this building was completely radically at the time it was built, just not in a good way.

That time was dominated by futurism.

It was the atomic age where everyone wanted to build a city for the Jetsons. It was a failed experiment and now we are left with these turds.

This makes sense.

LOL. I used to work at 410 Park, and I would love to see this thing come down.
