It looks like the conference floors are almost complete, and work will move on to the final tier. Hopefully it will top out in January!
From 425 Park?

I would presume that the crane is not going to jump anymore or will jump itself one more time. It’s hard to say how many “pieces” of steel will make up the crown tier, whether it is 2 or 3 sections. 3 makes more sense.
From today
From last week
A lot of progress on the base cladding. if you look closely, you can see that the metal backpan for the Park Ave facing angled columns has been installed and they only now need the actual bronze colored pieces to be installed. A great deal of mullions have been installed and we can better see the shape of the openings now.
The 48th St 280 Park Ave sidewalk has been reopened after being rebuilt and the fence has been moved southbound, it’s nice to have that side be “open” again.
Also from last week
Would be dope if they actually did that lighting scheme!
If the column lighting strips were programmable the same way that the crown lighting will be, such a candy-cane scheme may well be possible!
Neither, it’s a small cage staircase that has been lifted upward. This stair has preceded anything else being lifted or placed vertically on the previous floors. Its best seen on the screenshots from the aerial footage that was shared previously.
Ah ok darn lol. Thanks for the clarification
its a temp stairtower
Hard to tell without better quality but it does look like it indeed, nice catch! The other thing was a staircase, but because of the low quality its hard to tell whether this is steel for the construction elevator or the columns for the crown. Though it most likely is the columns for the crown, looks like it will go up in 3 parts.
Yeah the other EarthCam I use to check doesn’t swing around until 5:04 PM. Unfortunately it’s been dark at that point lately.
Looking at the cam archive, the steel did go up today.
I’m going to try to go out tomorrow if not Sunday, hopefully the clouds wont be so low that they’ll block the top of the building in the morning.
