The last portion of office space in the tower above this next mech floor that had it columns installed today is 1.5x the height of the previous mech floor(s) and then this section/tier will be topped out, repanning things out, there is still a slim possibility for this to top out by the end of November. All in all, it should be topped out in December by which point cladding should be nearing completion or completed on the 2nd tier.
Is this going to be the largest building by square feet in Manhattan?
I believe that is either 55 Water Street or One WTC which are both around 3.5 million sq.ft. 270 Park is around 2.5 million sq.ft.
Thank you!

From Gary Hershorn yesterday. Quick question, is the crane on the left done jumping? Will it be coming down soon?
It seems like that video that filmed construction inside the tower has been taken down, but in that video, the diagram of the tower showed 2 cranes at the top of the 4th tier, which doesnt really seem like it makes sense.
Steel atm has clearly stopped being built up in the corner of the lower crane so that the boom and cab/weights can freely rotate.its possible that at the top of the level currently being built the taller crane will start assembling a crane at that lower corner and that new crane will finish the rest of the tower, similar to One Vanderbilt. The lower of the cranes has run out of room to jump anymore, which is why a dummy platform of structure was built for the taller crane so that it could jump past the actual structure.
Cool thank you. I find the coordination of cranes fascinating especially on large towers like these. Quite a dance that high in the sky.
I strongly suspect that when I come next year the building will be largely completed.
looking like a top off before the end of the year.
Only on Yimby do we get beautiful, stunning photos along with an apology lol. Thanks for posting these.
This is a very small nitpick but I wish this corner resolved better on both planes instead of just one but with the angle I guess it’s just not possible.
These are probably my best shots of the tower from today. More will be coming, as I just transported my photos
Do we approximately know when they’re gonna replace the cranes?
Great pictures, Thomas.
