Thanks. The last setback is going to pop. My buddy is a steel worker on this.

was this asymmetrical moment intentional or is it a mistake?

its the nature of the foundation. the tracks below are not symmetrical to the building

Intentional, as @TKDV explained to me. Apparently all of the fan columns aren’t symmetrical, as each terrace width (east to west) is also slightly different lengths

It’s nice to see the temporary cladding BMU davits being removed now that the lower tier has been fully clad and to see the “true” outline of the tier free of obstructions as some recent photos have shown.

When I walked by last Sunday the 48th St underlayment had been completely poured and the area had never looked cleaner so I’m assuming that the fence line will eventually move south bound some and the “temporary” sidewalk lane barriers removed to just allow people to walk on the original sidewalk (that was also redone). I’ll try to take some photos today to make sense of it.

New steel. :sunglasses:

As much as I love the LIC view in this EarthCam, I like this temporary focus with this building and 1VB in the center even more. You can fully see all the tiers in this shot.

Really wish we had a wider angle EarthCam that could get everything from CPT to the Chrysler Building.
