NEW YORK | 270 Park Ave | 1,389 FT | 70 FLOORS

A true icon to the NYC skyline day and night (especially with its eventual lighting scheme)! :star_struck:

Setback panels went up yesterday on the Park Ave side, some of the west ones on Madison Ave were installed earlier in the week.

The entire west face profile of the first tier has been clad, though it is still missing some of the frame and some panels here and there. I’ll try to upload pics from my camera soon.

I cant remember for the N side but all of the fan columns have been fireproofed on the S side, its possible that once all the decorative louver covers are put on that the columns will receive their cladding, though only for that upper region and not closer to the nodes.

Maybe topped out (for sure) but I wouldn’t say done. The facade will maybe only have reached the 3rd tier at that point if even.

Can’t get over the sheer mass of this thing.
It is THICK.

Is the 3rd tier nearly done? I think your right that it’ll be late Oct/Early Nov for finishing the 4th tier and probably fully topped by Xmas

There’s still 3 more floors left, they will probably be a joined 3 floor section of steel. But towards topping out, the building should top out by atleast the end of October.

EDIT

New steel went up yesterday, but its only for 2 floors, thought it would be 3 like some other instances that have occurred in the building. But the corner columns havent gone up yet (atleast not according to the ToTR feed) and those could still always be 3 stories.

They should leave that corner windowless. Just because.

Nice! What’s the current height as of now?
