NEW YORK | 270 Park Ave | 1,389 FT | 70 FLOORS

That’s a good point, I just always thought it was Siniaevart’s render. it’s definitely not from F&P though because they wouldnt use an image of another render for another project that isnt theirs (Tower Fifth, the originator of the render).

They installed the first mullions for the giant glass lobby panels sometime in the middle of July. These are from last Sunday. You can also see armature steel that will support the canopy on the Park Ave entrance (the black oddly shaped piece of steel attached to the side of the central column).

Nice update @Mackensen, it looks like the setback panels will similarly not have their frame caps like the side diamonds and they will be put on after. But generally this is a milestone that the cladding has reached the first setback.

With the new steel that went up, it’s now about ~1023’ another milestone on its own. With only 3 floors left after this, it’s quite possible that the steel will also be 3 floors high to reach the 4th tier. All in all, my estimate of an August timeframe to reach the 4th tier is very possible.

Nice! Already taller than 1 MW, 4 WTC, 220 CPS, and One57

Michael Young takes the best pictures, does he have a yimby forums account?

I don’t know if Michael Young has his own account here in the forum, but he is a photographer and author of New York Yimby.

Updated the model to show more accuracy. The first two terraces will be different than the others, seeming like tenant space as the others are mechanical. The west side seems to just be a whole floor, while the east has skylights opening to the three levels below

As you can see here

It looks like the long columns on the northern and southern sides are illuminated! Do you know if the diamonds on the east and west sides will light up at night?

All of the linear elements on the tower will light up.

I just noticed in that atrium render that the columns appear to be diamond-shaped, reflecting the motif from the exterior. Neat little design feature!
