On another note, the floor before/below the setback is a slightly taller floor than the floors at this point have been, but nothing significant though. This is applicable to all the floors below the setbacks but for the first one as the taller height of the trade floors already accounted for an increased depth of the plenum/ceiling space.
The chances and likelihood of that are very high and I’m sure the contractor’s schedule says the same. I think late Q3 or the early Q4 time range is quite possible, barring any delays of course, but generally it should be topped out by December.
That’s great news. I wonder why they’re not giving details about the Madison Ave plaza. This image is posted at the site. I hope that these, in fact, are waterfalls like the one at Paley Park.
I was able to momentarily gain access to my drawing file and was able to take accurate measurements where as before I had to make an educated guess as to what I remembered from the drawings.
Surprisingly, I was still correct in my commentary in regards to when it passed/would pass 383 Madison and it’s height relating to that.
The building is currently ~783’ tall including the column splices. Once steel is added for the setback, the building should be ~ 821’ tall.
Can someone tell me how many floors it’s at now and how many more to go? It’s hard to count and I forgot the count from a few weeks ago (I see the current height from a few days ago but I’d like a floor count)
It’s on the 36/37th floor (depending on what metric is used to determine floor count, 37th if “every” floor is counted). There are 61 actual levels including the roof (top of parapet), but I’m not sure where the 70 floor count in the title comes from.
Nice shot, looks like metal decking is nearly completed on the 2 recent floors, steel for the setback could possibly be lifted this coming week at which point there will be another lull so that the 2nd crane can be removed and a long period for the coming large 2 story mechanical/outrigger levels at the setback.
