Those diamonds kill a great design.

You’ve got to be joking.

I love the diamonds. I think that the night-time illumination is going to look great.

I really hope that 175 Park gets going. That will complement this immensely.

Nope.

I love the diamonds, it adds some intricacy to an outstanding design. To each their own.

I can’t wait to see more renderings of the fountains on Madison. Does anyone know when that might be released? It seems that Vikram Chakkrobati is the landscape architect.

Yeah, I’m not completely out on them but I’m not so hot on them either. They’re just toeing the line of goofiness for me. The way each diamond “scrunches” on the way up really bugs me; I would have preferred the variation where the top two tiers were triangles.

I like to think Foster heard all our griping and complaining with the loss of the diamonds at 2WTC and was like “bam enjoy them here!”

I do like how they cut into the glass and break it up. That’s a nice detail.

The diamonds are absolutely gorgeous and compliment the design very well. I also adore the lighting on the braces that appears in the renderings. This building is going to be a masterpiece when completed.

Ah! I’m glad I’m not alone regarding the “scrunching.” I prefer the triangle variation as well, as it preserves some visual continuity and creates a better sense of upward momentum.

Overall, I would have preferred something more fine grained in terms of detail. At times, the diamonds strike me as almost comically overwrought. I’m hoping that won’t be the case in reality and that they’ll grow on me.

You know, the 270 Park design was long awaited after the leaked images. Since 2 WTC leaked, maybe we will see Foster’s redesign soon

Love the diamonds personally! I know to tourists this will be known as the “diamond building” without them it wouldn’t have a personality.

What fountains?

There are apparently extensive water features on the Madison Ave side.

Apparently, among the features, is a massive water wall which you can see in the lower left-hand corner. It will be absolutely incredible if it happens.

The new, massive waterwall at 550 Madison will also be amazing.

Gary Barnett once said One57 was a gift to the city. He had no idea that “Billionaire’s Row” would rise next to his tower just a few years later.

This tower is a gift to the greatest city in the world from Mr. Dimon.

He could have easily taken space in a 1,000-foot tall box in Hudson Yards.

Just like One57, this tower is just the beginning of what’s to come. 175 Park will soon dominate it. And other towers will dominate 175 Park.

This is the greatest city in the world!

The King of Wall Street!

Interestingly, when J.P. Morgan died, Frank Vanderlip, the President of National City Bank (i.e., Citi Bank), wrote: “The king is dead, but there are no cries of ‘Long live the king’ for the general verdict seems to be that there will be no other king; that Mr. Morgan can have no successor.”

Respectfully, the esteemed Mr. Vanderlip was wrong. Jamie D is the King… the Sun King no less!
