what little we’ve seen of this new building looks really good.
Looks amazing! I love the architects who are ditching blue glass for interesting materials and design.
Well, I’ll be darned – the canyon gets less mediocre!
Lovely building. Very Morris Adjmi.

Scaffolding on 12-story Park Slope condo project collapses, injures 3
High winds tore down scaffolding at an under-construction condo building in Park Slope Sunday afternoon, injuring three people.
The scaffolding crashed down from the Parlour Condominiums site and fell into an open-air patio space below, where it smashed through a glass astrium, according to CBS New York. One victim suffered serious head injuries and went to the hospital.
Parts of the scaffolding were dismantled later on Sunday, and the Department of Buildings is investigating the incident.
Parlour, at 243 Fourth Avenue, was No. 10 on The Real Deal ’s list of most valuable Brooklyn condo filings in 2018 with a projected sellout of $54.6 million. Brodmore Management took over the site from landlord Haysha Deitsch.
The general contractor on the site has had 12 construction safety violations this year, and last month, the DOB had issued the contractor four construction violations for not safeguarding the construction site properly and not keeping the scaffolding up to code.
This is something special: particularly for the Brooklyn 4th Avenue location. The arched window, masonry facade, nice blend of modern and classical architectural design; very special. This firm did another fantastic design on the upper west side; quite beautiful - named something like “the Vandameer”.??
They did the Vandewater, which also has a modern/traditional masonry facade. The last photo really shows how it contrasts with 4th avenue, which lacks formality and rationalism.
That is it - the Vandewater. That one is an ‘under reported’ story in my opionon - beautiful design.
This building reminds me of the Palazzo della Civilta Italiana constructed 1938-1942. A project of Mussolini during his Fascist Regime. It has been restored into the new world headquarters of The House of Fendi.
