This disgusting garbage across the street must come down ASAP. This stretch of B’Way has so many stunning buildings, and this junk detracts from them.
Sadly, the building on the north corner is actually quite nice, but it has been rudely defiled.

Virgin Hotels to Open Two in Scotland, One in Manhattan This Year
The Virgin Hotels portfolio continues to expand with the opening of three properties in 2022, including one in Manhattan and the group’s premiere in the UK with two hotels in Scotland.
The new build Virgin Hotels New York, located in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood at 1227 Broadway, is set to debut late summer. The 38-floor hotel offers 463 Chambers (guestrooms) and several concept suites.
The hotel’s amenities will include a rooftop pool and bar, numerous dining spaces, and two floors of luxury retailers, in addition to the hotel’s signature venues, Commons Club Funny Library Coffee Shop and The Pool Club.
The Virgin Hotels New York joins the brand’s five other properties in the US located in Chicago, Dallas and Nashville, along with the recently opened Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in March 2021 and followed with the introduction of Virgin Hotels New Orleans in August.
Meanwhile, this spring, the hotel group will welcome two Scotland hotels, Virgin Hotels Edinburgh and Virgin Hotels Glasgow.
Virgin Hotels Edinburgh will be in the landmark India Buildings, originally built in 1864, in Edinburgh’s Old Town near The Royal Mile. The property promises to be a mix of modern luxuries with its 19th-century origins diligently preserved. The new hotel will feature 222 Chambers and Grand Chamber Suites along with multiple dining and drinking outlets, including Virgin Hotels’ iconic Commons Club.
