Interesting how they’re placing the tower in the center between 13th and 14th streets. I guess more breathing room for sunlight.
The article above from Robb Report states that the architectural form factor took shape as an outgrowth of the ideal floor plan, and optimal exposure to sunlight and views: so right-on with that observation.
I would call that approach designing from the inside out; and that seems a good way to design.
I have no idea if the Architect would agree with the commentary in the article regarding the design of the building; but that was a very good read.
Good article by Robb Report; and cheers to the Architects of 11 West 13th as well. 
When you consider zoning, this tower would not have been able to be shaped the way it is if it was justified to one side of the lot.

In that case; this is a good Architect. Not quite as good as Thomas Juul Hansen; but good non-the-less. IMHO.
