I mean Panda Tower does look eerily similar to the current design for 2 WTC. Though it’s a much larger building

It’s kind of crazy to think there were supposed to have been more than just 4 megatalls (Burj Khalifa, Merdeka 118, Shanghai Tower, and Mecca Royal Clock Tower)) by now, its SO unfortunate that Ping An’s initial spire design was essentially axed at the last minute, it just looks so incomplete without it. I never really cared for Wuhan Greenland but it’s situation was unfortunate as well.

Not just more than 4, more like more than double. And the vast majority were going to be in China.
I still think Ping An looks good, but yeah the spire would have been cool. As for Wuhan Greenland, it looks like garbage after it had to be shortened. It wasn’t a stunner before but now it looks enternally incomplete

Not to mentioned a couple of megatalls in Chicago, such as the Chicago Spire (which was so close of being constructed), and a mega/hypertall called the Nakheel Tower
Oh no, I was just saying that there was supposed to have been more than 4 had other projects come to fruition at the present moment but that there are only 4.
I honestly did not like the Nakheel Tower, a lot of the “old” proposals in Dubai weren’t that good, but a lot of them also were.

I find the Nakheel Tower to be a true megatall, and it is pretty thick as well.
