From everything I can see the talks to find a place in Vegas have gone all of nowhere. They may stay in Oakland afterall
I don’t know about that, the articles say that they are still very much in continued talks about 2 sites in Las Vegas, with one being more favorable to the team. Negotiations for these kind of things don’t just happen quickly, it definitely takes time.
We’ll see. Though I’d rather they stay because I like this proposal, I’d love to see what they’d cook up for a stadium in Vegas.
Well it seems like any proposal in Las Vegas will have a domed stadium (maybe operable) as mentioned in the article so I imagine that it would none the less look impressive.
Bye bye Oakland

Resorts World Las Vegas President Scott Sibella told the paper that the groups discussed the potential of a 35,000-seat domed stadium on the Las Vegas Festival Grounds site, located on the southwest corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue.
“We reinforced our support that we believe the best site is on the Sahara/LV Blvd,” Sibella wrote in an email. “Having the A’s in Las Vegas will be great for the Strip properties and the LV community.”
In Vegas, while a number of sites were considered, for a while it appeared that only the Tropicana property, now owned by Bally’s (BALY) - Get Free Report, was still in the running. A second site, the Las Vegas Fairgrounds, which is owned by Treasure Island and Circus Circus owner Phil Ruffin, appeared to be out of the mix.
the new A stadium is in Las Vegas
„Oakland President Dave Kaval confirmed a purchase agreement had been reached with Red Rock Resorts for a 49-acre property. Plans for the $1.5 billion stadium will create a 30,000-seat venue with a partially retractable roof.
Construction in Las Vegas is expected to start as early as 2024 to have the first Athletics Season in the Nevada city by 2027. In the meantime, the team is expected to continue to play at the Coliseum in Oakland.“
There’s been some indication, actually, that the team might play in a minor-league ballpark in the suburbs of Las Vegas before moving to the big-boy stadium.
Will the Nevada taxpayers be expected to pay for the big-boy stadium?
