There are now pile drives and steel piles on site. I’d say it’s under construction.
They are just working on the footings and foundations. They went back to the Planning Board for the building itself and it’s been approved recently. So permits for the building still have to get processed for this project
It’s normal for footings & foundations permits to be submitted and processed first. The rest of the structure is often just submitted as revisions to the footings/foundations permit, with or without a separate permit filing.
F&F count as part of the structure, and are an indication that a project has received enough funding to take the project to completion, so the practice on other forums has always been to say that construction begins once F&F work begins.
Yes, exactly. Thanks for the explanation!
They definitely have the money to get the project through to completion. (345 Baldwin is next). I was just updating the page as to where the project stands currently, that’s all. F&F is what we submitted to DOB first - still compiling the rest.
Thanks for your explanation! Good to put all the info out there for people who are new or unfamiliar with things and want to learn.
Expect vertical construction of the full building very soon
Permit has been approved.
Taken today. This will start rising quickly once it gets past the podium levels - which should be soon
Peeking through to the right of the old Courthouse. Imagine 425 Summit, 499 Summit and JSQ Urby, and JSquared Phase 3 going up nearby.
