JERSEY CITY | 29 Van Reipen Ave + 612 Pavonia Ave | 313 FT x 2 | 27 FLOORS x 2

I swear I’ve seen that same exact design of house copy-pasted all over that part of JC. Unless it was the home of some important figure I don’t know why they kept it.

do they plan on doing anything with the house?

The back half of the older structure is being chopped off and demolished, and the remaining front half is being incorporated as part of the new building. Technically the high-rise is an “addition” to the older building. The space in the remaining part of the older structure is designated for retail use.

They should just use the house for a sales/leasing gallery.

Jesus..what is up with these wires ? any plans to fix them ?

Were you trying to post a pic? I’m assuming you mean the wire on Homestead Pl. City Planning is aware of the fallen wires and the wire crossing the plaza along that stretch and I believe they will be fixed as part of this project. On other streets PSEG generally refuses to bury the wires.

Is the plan to just build around 600 Pavonia (gray building)?

Yes, that one is under different ownership and will remain for now.

But 29 Van Reipen and 612 Pavonia, the towers that are under construction, are only to the left of the old 600 Pavonia office building. 547 Summit and 555 Summit will be built on the other side.
