wow… those last two photos look like a real 3D downtown with tall/large buildings all around! But it’s inland Jersey City

That’s no coincidence.
Journal Square is going to look pretty comparable to the downtown/newport neighborhoods in a few years if all planned development happens. The city has a JSQ master plan that sees the neighborhood as a “2nd downtown.”

It is an incredible transformation - the only thing I wish was the buildings designs were better - too many PTAC on glass facades - some of them do a OK job integrating them, but most of them are not good
