CHICAGO | Tribune Tower East | 1,442 FT | FLOORS

Just ten more feet and Chicago would have a new tallest.

Also at its new height, this bumps 111 West 57th from 4th place.

Let’s hope that next year the construction will begin, because the date was postponed a few times.

This will be a very interesting and exciting few years in Chicago with the casino on River District, The 78, new Bears Stadium, One Central,…
Chicago is booming.

Just some extra info. The start date is outdated.

Curious about the bidders list.

They clearly state that this is a vision that hasn’t been designed and may not even go out for bidding.

I would not be surprised if there is a height reduction, as many very tallst projects in Chicago have been canceled.

This is another project that is currently in the pipeline and Parcel I is still waiting for construction to start.

Many other projects have a much lower height but mostly around 600 feet.

But let’s look optimistically into the near future…

This all seems to be groundless speculation that fuels contempt with respect to NY projects and prompts angry demands that “the thread be closed until there’s actual news.”

Contempt towards New York?? If so, then I edit my post.

I think…

Even if you have a bidder, it could be canceled (similar Site K Hudson Yards).

If there is news about the Tribune Tower East, it will be posted in this topic. However, it looks more like the project has stalled at the moment. There are currently many projects in Chicago that have stalled.

@alankau

Chicago has a lot of safety issues that need to be resolved.
