CHICAGO | Obama Presidential Center

Ugly or not, it dares the public to even attempt to ignore or erase it. Usually I’d hate that sort of architecture, but not in this case.

Sure, I’d prefer something vernacular, contextual, unassuming like the FDR library, but it’s taken decades to erode FDR’s accomplishments, and many of those New Deal buildings, parks, and monuments will endure.

The word-pattern coming up certainly gives it some justice, but the color makes it look like a jail.

Everytime I see this building I see the body of an AT-AT greatly stretched into itself

Obama wasn’t perfect, but at least he didn’t lose a war to Iran for which he had to pay them $300 billion.

I’ve been watching the dedication live. It’s been pretty good, with an exception for some of the music. Michelle’s speech was right on and like always she condemns you know who without having to actually say his filthy name.

In other news, a group is trying to rename a section of Wabash that Trump Tower Chicago sits on for Obama. That would be so fantastic.
