The athletic centre is part of the Obama Presidential Center.
That’s going to go over like a lead balloon in this climate.
Veteran real estate developer Allison Davis wants to build a 26-story, 250-room hotel a few blocks from where his longtime friend and former President Barack Obama is building his namesake presidential library.
A venture led by Davis is seeking approval for the project on vacant land he owns at 6402-20 S. Stony Island Ave., according to a zoning application submitted to the City Council last week. The site is down the street from the future Obama Presidential Center, which is slated to open next year.
The proposal is meant to capitalize on the 700,000 visitors that city officials project will come to the Obama Center each year. Adding to the nearby Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, the presidential complex stands to fortify the lakefront portion of the Woodlawn and Hyde Park neighborhoods as a tourist destination.
The stone is nice

Going back to topic, I find no lies here. The result is underwhelming and odd. It looks like a literal pile of sh!t, and the marble being gray rather the original beige is causing much of that. It’s still early to give final judgement as some of the exterior pieces are missing, yet the initial renderings made it appear much nicer.
Wow is that ugly.
