What’s the plan for the second tower?

They have to get the financing to start on it, but looking at Chicago’s current construction landscape and other similar projects like the NEMA tower that was suppose to have a twin tower then never delivered, it’s likely this will stand solo for awhile.

The city is incredibly lucky they even got this started on. Thought that Spire hole was cursed

so far its looking pretty underwhelming compared to the initial renderings. The glass looks nice but the Chicago school style bay windows don’t seem to be nearly as portly.

Plain Jane.

This one looks nice up close, and fills a big gap in the skyline looking on from the lake.

I’m surprised Chicago has not seen more development along the lake. Everything is West.

I’d still rather have the Chicago Spire, but obviously there’s no going back now

Everything along the lake is developed. This and the lot across the river may be the last two available. What Chicago does have along the lake are beautiful parks for all to enjoy (thanks to the foresight of earlier generations). And with no shortage of development right across the street from them.
