These sorts of cantilevers over a neighboring building may be money makers but they are architecturally crazy. (Don’t worry I’m talking about the real building not the great joke image.) Maybe we need to talk about a code change that would require some sort of aesthetic merging, as well as barring gaping space, between new and old. It’s almost time for a tourist bus touting crazy buildings in NYC.
