WASHINGTON â A new stadium for the Washington Commanders at the former RFK site could sack a cherished gameday tradition for thousands of fans: tailgating.
A WUSA9 investigation reveals that despite Mayor Muriel Bowserâs vision for a new NFL stadium as the anchor of redevelopment plans, the available space and proposed parking availability would likely not accommodate the tailgating culture that many fans consider essential to their gameday experience.
update:
If his company buys the naming rights to it, I donât see a problem.
He gets everything he wants for free
I donât see why this would be any different
The Cult has no taste in anything they do. Go to your local kindergarten for better architectural recommendations.
Whatâs wrong with Classical Architecture?
Thereâs nothing wrong with classical architecture, the problem lies in trying to force everything to be classical because, again, these people have no taste and try to force everything to be what they want.
Itâs just like when the felon in chief banned anything from being built unless it was classical. Itâs antithetical to architecture which at its core is a combination of engineering and art. Art requires imagination and improvisation. Forcing everything to only be one style causes stagnation.
Also classical can be done terribly just like any other style. Shoehorning it in random places is great way to get terrible classical buildings.
just build the âTrump Colosseumâ already, they can feed immigrants and the democrats to the lions there when the Redskins are not playing
Was this approved by the White House?
I believe the feds are aiming for something more akin to the stadium Germany built to host the 1936 Olympics in Berlin.
That is a gorgeous stadium, donât know what you mean by âcould have been worseâ
Yeah it actually looks perfect. I think it matches DCs Imperial architecture quite well.
Considering the Trump adminâs rather distasteful tastes, had they had any real influence other than the suggestion to make it âclassically inspiredâ, itâd probably look quite tacky (example: the East Wing Ballroomâs interior, White House âupgradesâ, etc.).
The design for the stadium is quite nice and fits with the overall aesthetics of D.C. while also looking modern.
