Work has begun on the massive new scoreboard in centerfield which from what I understand will be the largest rectangular scoreboard in the world. LET’S GO METS!!!

Details of those enhancements are provided from Samsung in this past press release.

Just my thoughts, but if the Giants or Jets (or both) ever get the money and want to move, they could place 2 more giant stadiums in the huge parking lot outside of Citi Field.

Boom. NYC’s Teams are now actually in NYC, and Queens has a huge entertainment/sporting area with Citi Field, NYCFC Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium, Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, possible Jets Stadium, and a possible Giants Stadium. (Along with all practice and support centers for them)

Not to mention different types of venues, though those may be smaller and don’t necessarily need all the space these big ones do. (Like an Esports Arena, or Go Kart, or whatever you can think of). And maybe the casino if Cohen gets the license.

Also, this could help massively with a NYC bid for the Olympics, or other big international events

What’s the point?

If there’s nothing going on at the stadium or the tennis center, who’s going to use this stop?

For the new development that’s happening around. Massive housing plans

If you want to get to Flushing this would be a lot closer than getting off at Woodside.

but doesn’t LIRR have a station in Flushing itself?

That is right. Never mind.

Seems like a waste.

Nice. Hopefully the Redbulls move to willets point as well. There’s more than enough room and they’d actually be in NYC. Plus the rivalry would be crazy being directly next to each other.

Obviously not going to happen though because they actually have a stadium unlike NYCFC
