Nice!!
Damn. I still think this is a poor location for a casino but that’s a remarkable design. The cantilevered rooftop park reminds me a little bit of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
I live across the street from this site and obviously wouldn’t love a casino next door… but wow, that is a nice looking proposal.
Edit: this site would make more sense with an infill 7 train station. Is this at all feasible?
Yeah I really like this design and form but not really enjoying it being near the UN. Kinda weird but whatever, NYC is full of off juxtapositions.
As for the 7 train, I believe the grade is too steep and a station would have to be incredibly deep at this location. I think I read that on an MTA analysis somewhere if I can find it.
Not a fan of casinos but think this looks like a pretty good plan.
Thats pretty cool
I spent a good part of my childhood growing up in Atlantic City and instead of playing board games my family often played casino games at home. So there’s literally 0 appeal to me for one in the city.
That being said it would be nice to have one out near Flushing so we can continue to diversify our Central Business Districts and spread out the load on our transit system. Heck, throw a Sphere out there too where it has a chance of being seen from a distance.
The fact the casino plan at Citi Field replaces that giant parking lot with something actually useful is always a massive plus and it’s also walking distance from the 7 train, making it incredibly accessible to transit as well.
Since the “Point72” casino (Willets Point) will be located in Flushing, should it have a “Chinatown” theme?

Wynn on Hudson Yards
„ As first reported by the New York Post , Related Companies revised its plans for a potential casino in Hudson Yards that includes two skyscrapers: one spanning 3 million square feet, branded by Wynn and featuring a 1,700-room hotel and 250,000 square feet of casino gaming, and the other a 2-million-square-foot office tower.“

Quite possibly the worst proposal yet
They delayed the process because MGM is in a bookie scandal and the rules say you can’t give a license to a company with any ethical concerns. The licenses should have been awarded a year ago now.
I’m shocked, shocked, to find there are gambling-nimbys in here.
