NEW YORK | LOW-RISE / GENERAL Development News + Construction

Do you mind posting the pics of the existing buildings and the new design too? (Or linking ti them?)

I can’t seem to find them.

Here is the existing building

And here is the rendering for the new one. Looks very lame compared to the decent to very nice buildings going up in the UES nowadays.

The Upper East Side usually gets these very classically-inspired designs (á la RAMSA), so I’m very happy to see the Upper West getting some love too!

Can’t wait for other angles

Great eye! I should have recognized the Belnord’s stone wreath. I guess I’ll start up a new topic. Thanks.

349 West 37th Street

George Makkos is listed as in contract to sell the building at 349 W37th Street (bw 8/9th Ave) and the adjacent parking lot through M&T Pretzel Inc, according to City records made available last week and first reported on by Crain’s New York Business.

It is unclear how much the six-story building will sell for, but it has a tentative market value of just under $4 million, according to the Department of Finance. It is expected to be bought by real estate developer Shahn Christian Anderson, the CEO of Vandrax Technologies, under the name VDX 351 W37th LLC, who also appears to have filed plans in February to build a 115-unit condo project, which when fully sold would garner the company $213.9 million.
