I was able to get closer to the Powerhouse, and I was surprised at how unfriendly the grounds looked…there was only a sliver of a sidewalk, and the rest was just asphalt. There is a big parking lot on the canal side, completely walled off.

Someone recently posted a color coded map with all the development going on (scrolled back a bit and couldn’t find it, thanks whomever). But just look at this landscape of cleared sites and 1-story warehouses that will soon be history, and imagine what this is going to look like 5-10 years from now.
