The tank will be completed by the end of the year. The pumping station will start construction early 2027 with completion scheduled for late 2029.

Looking at this photo posted posted on the thread for this project: the curved windows were the ‘master stroke’ on this design.
The curves on windows - or any part of the new building - add much visual appeal.
The ‘master stroke’ here is the designers answer to an age-old riddle: “how do you square a circle?”
On the outside you see those lovely curves; on the inside there is a standard square window frame: they ‘squared’ all the curves. ![]()
This is a master-stroke because finding options for window blinds for curved, or arched windows is quite limited; as compared to typical square/rectangular windows.
The designers of this building found the perfect balance between Beauty and Functionality - Master Stroke. ![]()

If you look closely at this photo shared by Max, it doesn’t appear that the inside window frames are square? It’s why floor to ceiling curtains (on a track?) are shown?
Good observation; and I see through the light filtering curtains there is a shadow image of the curved window.
The ‘master stroke’ is that the sheetrock framing around that entire window is ‘squared’ where the window treatments will eventually be attached. A standard roller shade, or horizontal blind, or vertical blinds, etc can be installed into those windows - as on INSIDE MOUNT. The key is the inside mount option for this building. This is not the case in many of the buildings with curved or arched windows.
I will try to find some some illustration of this point. I realize what I saying may not be entirely clear or generally understood. Maybe I can find something to better illustrate the point: but trust me, this approach to the interior construction of the windows is different. ![]()
Here is an example. I just finished a project on a building located on William Street with arched windows. There were no feasible options for installing Inside Mound window blinds: limited product options, high cost. We ended up doing surface mounted curtain panels.
The point being: there is no limit to the options for standard window blinds being installed ‘inside the frames’ in this new building at Gowanus Canal. These windows on William Street (we know the building) offer little options for Inside Mounted standard window blinds.
BTW - This was the only type of window blind we could find for the William street windows; they too cost prohibitive.
Here is a good way to show how they ‘squared the circle’ on the curved windows. Notice how the brickwork on the facade is ‘square’ on the windows with the curve on the corner: the curve is ‘recessed’ but the brick surface section is square.
There is a similar approach to how the interior frames were built-out: thus permitting the use of any standard window blind on nearly every interior window. A technical detail that is hard to discuss on a forum: but I do hope that photo helps illustrate my point as to why this window design was a ‘master stroke’ - the perfect solution for blending Beauty & Functionality.
