I couldn’t find a thread for this, so I’m starting a new topic.
Nice, we need to continue growing other CBDs outside of Manhattan. As they grow, it should help balance out the stress on the transit system which if course is Manhattan centric.
Flushing is overdue for a massive in scope boom. It’s highrise development is held back by the overstressed 7 line and its proximity to LGA. That hasn’t stopped plenty of new highrises from being built in the last decade though.
A few taller buildings would be nice in Flushing.
This is great news that it was approved. I just hope that with all this new housing they look into ways to improve or add to the public transit of this part of Queens that is badly needing it.
Not a lot of greenspace on the waterfront. It’d be nice if Flushing Meadows expanded north. That is a very neglected waterfront.
Is this dead? It says the completion date should be 2025 but it hasn’t even started.
