@Mackensen
It looks very nice.
Merged the thread. Also changed title to reflect the cross street as its easier to identify versus the address reflecting the avenue.
OMG…
It’s glorious!!!
Side opening has almost reached ground floor for what I’m assuming will be where the (de)construction elevator goes.
The building massing (even though of a different function) is almost reminiscent of 1717 Broadway, which ironically has the same amount of floors and is around the same height (753’).
Wonder what the lot line will look like given its landmarked neighbor.
The schematics suggest that the core will be on the 37th street so I’m hoping it wont be a blank wall

Night view by the studio Render Bar – the base looks pretty cool!
This is going to be a nice addition to the area.
I thought this was that pencil tower on 5th ave for a minute lol
This is nice, and would make great filler in the skyline.
I agree, however it might not look good from Jersey with that blank wall. I also believe they should start putting in filler buildings just to the north of the Lower Manhattan towers, would give LM some nice density. But developers probably won’t build into that area again once 45 Park Place and One Seaport ate hopefully finished.
I don’t think 1 SP will ever be finished tbh. Both 1 SP and 45 PP developers gambled and lost.
I think this tower would only be visible from Jersey by a select few angles, especially as its on 6th ave. Hudson Yards will dwarf this from the West. It will barely register.
As far as buildings with significant exposed core walls go I think this one could be great.
This is a good pic.
Much better than my night time photo This building should be taken down in no time.
I didn’t realize that there was graffiti on the Haier Building the numerous times I’ve passed by it, that’s unfortunate.
Yeah I noticed that too, so I was like “I need to take a photo of it” because I have no idea how they put graffiti on it lol
